The Mecenatúra Awards Were Given Out

Tibor Szemző’s Wish to be a Red Indian film won the award named after Zoltán Huszárik in the experimental and short film category.

                                                                                              

This year, the NMHH (National Media and Info-communications Authority) organized for the first time the Media Council’s Award ceremony.

121 films supported by the Media Council over the past few years were in competition in 6 categories and the creators of a total of 15 films were awarded.

The independent professional jury concluded the awarding of the film about the last love and last friendship of Franz Kafka, produced by Budapest Film Production Ltd. as follows: “For the very exciting convergence of literature, music and the experimental spirit of filmmaking, for the exploratory attitude in the cinematic art tackled without compromise, for the implementation of the high standards artistry consistent across all Tibor Szemző films.
