About Us
Budapest Film Production Ltd. was founded in 2006 as a production and co-production company with the aim of making feature, experimental and short films, and documentaries on high quality standards, ensuring commercial value on the national and international markets of traditional (cinema, satellite, DVD, TV) and new forms (internet, iptv) of broadcasting channels.
Our film production company offers full service for the production of national and international films, as well as production services for commercials. Amongst our main partners you will find the profession’s outstanding and celebrated artists and companies, such as the Hungarian Filmlab, TV2, HBO, MTVA, Echo TV, and the Hungarian National Film Fund.
The Budapest Film Production Ltd has united with Baraka Media Ltd (in 2018) which allowed us to start new types of productions.

Sándor Csortos Szabó – producer
After graduating at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design he worked as a journalist and photographer. Later on, he undertook jobs at advertising agencies, as an art director and eventually became a creative director as well. He is creating films as of 1997, making more than 100 TV productions broadcasted by the Hungarian National Television and channel TV2. He is a photographer in his free time, winning several international awards with his photos.
Virág Szabó – director, production director
After getting her degree at the Film Studies Programme of the ELTE University she worked as a film director and also as a screenwriter. Her first short film was selected for the 29th International Film Festival of Valencia. She participated in the Sarajevo Film Festival’s Talent Campus in 2014. Her short film: Wellness was Official Selection for the 23th Sarajevo International Film Festival 2017.
